Sunday I put $15.00 worth of gas in the van. That filled it half-way but I only had about $18.00 to last until payday on the 15th (today). I haven't been this broke since my kids were little...didn't have 2 nickels to rub together some days then. It's kind of invigorating to make it through until payday after running out of money - reminds me of the old days.

oh hell yeah!! only difference is we now pay mortgages instead of rent and we can paint the walls any damn color we want. now, if we could only afford the paint.....
ReplyDeleteRight? Especially this time of year... I'm with you on the "enough invigorating, already" - LOL. How about some pure relaxation??
ReplyDeleteI remember as a kid I would make the most outlandish lists for Santa:
1. A Pony
2. A Monkey
3. A Castle
and what I found Christmas mornings was never anywhere close - but I rarely thought of what had been on my list then. I was always so enchanted by what "Santa" had taken such care in selecting for me. Magical.
Kind of the way I feel about YOU.
And I have seen the same thing occur for our children, year round.
